WHAT IS INFINI?
Infini treatment at CU Facial Aesthetic Surgery is a new technology to tighten lax skin in the office. This innovative technology combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivery. During the procedure, an array of extremely fine gold microneedles penetrates the deep tissues of the neck. During the split second that the needles are beneath the skin, a controlled amount of radiofrequency energy is delivered to the deep tissues, resulting in direct tightening of skin. This clinic-based procedure can be used anywhere on the face and neck.
Is it right for me?
Infini provides a modest tightening of the skin of the neck and face. It is best used for patients with mild skin laxity who are not yet ready for a Minilift or Facelift. There are other great reasons to have an Infini treatment and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
Most patients take 4 days off following this procedure. After 48 hours of healing, the skin will look like a mild to moderate sunburn. Mineral makeup can be used after 48 hours.
What to expect during the procedure?
The treatment areas are made numb using a combination of numbing cream and tiny lidocaine injections. The procedure takes about 1 hour. Immediately after the procedure, there are pinpoint areas of bleeding on the skin. These areas heal very quickly and in 3 days the skin looks like a bad sunburn. Over the next 3 to 4 days, the skin continues to heal and you may experience peeling. There is a moderate burning sensation the night after the procedure that can be lessened with cold compresses.
What does Infini treat?
The Infini can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including:
- Deep Tissue Tightening
- Superficial skin wrinkles
- Decreased pore size
- Acne scars
Worsening of acne can occur, but this can usually be treated with topical preparations or a short course of antibiotics. After the procedure, the skin will be darker than normal. This is typically transient and resolves over time. the
